CMIC Appoints Nancy A. Moody, R.N. as Medical Loss Prevention Specialist

GLASTONBURY, CT – April 23, 2008 – CMIC, a leading doctor-owned medical malpractice insurer serving Connecticut and Massachusetts, today announced the addition of Nancy A. Moody, R.N. to fill the newly formalized position of Medical Loss Prevention Specialist.

In this new position, Moody is responsible for leading CMIC’s medical loss prevention and policyholder education initiatives. She is also responsible for the development of new programs and services to assist policyholders in achieving and maintaining the highest standards of medical practice.

"Nancy is an exceptional healthcare professional with more then ten years of clinical experience. Prior to joining CMIC, Moody held positions as Medical Policy Analyst and Transplant Case Manager at WellPoint/Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. She also served as Pre and Post Heart Transplant Coordinator at Hartford Hospital.

Moody holds a B.S. in Nursing from Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, CT and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Connecticut. She is also a graduate of the Department of Health and Human Services Human Participant Protections Education for Research certificate program.
